The incredible journey continues

September went by so fast! I've been working, sleeping, eating, exercising and spending time at the construction site. And I have a thousand potential blog posts on different topics, but since I haven't found the time or the tranquillity to finish any of these I've decided that this post will be all about the new Kingdom Hall. In other words: it's picture time!

In order to understand this picture you have to know Swedish and enjoy a skit by a famous Swedish comedy group. The sign says "use protection beard". I would have to write an entire blog post just to explain this, and that might not be enough, since humor is very individual and not always possible to explain. However, if you want to watch the skit it's here:

Needless to say, my sister and I took the opportunity to fool around with the protection beards as soon as we could.

Morning exercise with the crew. Incredibly entertaining!

Our brother Olivier is happy to be at the site. But look! No walls yet.

Here we have walls and scaffolding.

And here we've added some paint.

Actually, I had the honor of joining the painting crew.

This is a picture of the hall today. The scaffolding is completely gone!

The entrance.

The main hall starting to take shape.

Skillful friends working with the tile.

A "friendly but firm" reminder that it's not ok to walk on the tile.

The platform.

The lobby. It doesn't look like this now though...

The blue shed where we have all the wonderful and upbuilding conversations, the super delicious food and the meetings for service!

Piece of art?

Beautiful homemade cakes from some of the friends.

Tired but happy.

So nice that you could join us. See you soon!
