Exercise or.... die?

My new blog has not only undergone a physical transformation. As you will notice there will also be a change in topics, from the happenings of everyday to the inner works of my brain. Since there is so much more going on in my mind than in the physical world I will explore themes that I have been thinking about and that are close to my heart. Furthermore, I would love for this blog to be more interactive than descriptive, so please comment on matter that interest you, contradict me, agree with me or give me advice. If English is not your first language, comment in your own language. (As long as it's Swedish or French. Danish & Norwegian might work as well. German would be to stretch it a bit too far... haha). Of course I will mix it up with posts not as demanding, i.e less words, more pics. The first concept I would like to delve in to is exercising . People do it for all sorts of reasons. Today is tomorrow

I live in the future. Maybe not all the time, but since I love dreaming about the future, making plans and taking action, my head is constantly several steps ahead of time. It's as if I'm attached to a rubber string connected to myself in the future and it's constantly pulling me forward. If I don't have any goals to strive towards, I feel lost. Consequently, I always have a thousand projects going on at the same time. I have to, and want to, complete them all. I'm a dreamer and a doer. Being under stimulated and having too little to do is one of my worst fears. I'd rather be involved in too much and be exhausted, than having no projects or responsibilities. The combination of a rich inner life, with an abundance of ideas and an ability to channel all of this energy into concrete projects, is a blessing and a curse. A blessing because I get a lot of things done and I get satisfaction from this, and a curse because I can never really relax...

Nerd alert!

Be completely honest. What do you think about when you hear the word nerd ? What do you see in front of you? Perhaps this? Of course it's a guy. A white guy. With glasses. His biggest interests are computers and science fiction. Sports is nothing he enjoys. And he's quite socially awkward. This is the stereotype of nerd, and the dictionaries add to the prejudice. Merriam Webster defines nerd as someone who "behaves awkwardly around other people and usually has unstylish clothes, hair, etc" or "is very interested in technical subjects, computers, etc." Now look at the picture below. Do you see a nerd? I'm not a guy. Even though I own glasses I mostly wear contacts. I'm not particularly interested in technical subjects, nor am I extremely socially awkward.
